Job Summary:
The Finance Manager/Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance within the organization. This position involves leading the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, ensuring compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), managing cash receipts, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in finance and accounting, coupled with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of SOX controls, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, providing guidance and oversight on all accounting matters, including complex transactions and financial reporting.
Oversee the cash receipts process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making, identifying trends and providing insights into financial performance.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audit processes and ensure timely completion of all audits.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with current regulations.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the overall success of the finance team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on SOX implementation, US GAAP compliance, and financial statement preparation.
Strong knowledge of SOX requirements and experience in designing and implementing internal controls.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
