Position Name: Product Cost Analyst – Costing Center of Excellence
Location: Atlanta, GA, 30328 (Hybrid)- 3 days onsite, 2 days work from hme
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Strong possibility for an extension)
Schedule: 08.00 am – 05.00 pm (Including 30 min break)
Job Description: This is a hybrid role, and the schedule depends on the location of the analyst.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Cost Analyst maintains standard costs for purchased and manufactured items in SAP. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and maintain product standard cost information. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to gather relevant cost data for products.
• Extract and validate cost information from SAP, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Maintains product standard cost information in SAP for purchased and manufactured items.
• Performs material setup for New Product and Material Change requests. Validates SAP material master data changes. Analyzes and re-costs items when appropriate.
• Assists in analyzing and validating PIR Extract, Cost Comparison Report, and provides analysis of standard cost changes.
• Ad hoc reporting & analysis as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 years prior accounting experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices and theory.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and SAP software.
• Strong communication abilities (written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Prior Experience in an SAP Costing environment is a plus.
