As a Permanent Hybrid Associate-Attorney, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the Legal industry, specifically in Employment Litigation. This role will require you to utilize your extensive experience in drafting, responding, and arguing motions, as well as defending depositions. You will also be expected to use your knowledge and experience in labor and employment law, class action defense, and PAGA matters. This position requires a strong academic background, excellent credentials, and exceptional writing and analytical skills. You must be licensed to practice law in California and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an associate attorney.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
1. Draft and respond to initial pleadings and argue motions in court.
2. Defend depositions and represent clients in labor and employment law matters.
3. Handle class action defense and PAGA matters.
4. Provide legal advice to clients on a range of employment law issues.
5. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
6. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to develop legal strategies.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should have:
1. A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. License to practice law in the state of California.
3. A minimum of 3-7 years of experience as an associate attorney.
4. Extensive experience in drafting, responding, and arguing motions.
5. Proven ability to defend depositions.
6. Solid experience in labor and employment law.
7. Experience in class action defense and PAGA matters.
8. Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and analytical skills.
9. Proficiency in legal research and the ability to handle large volumes of work.
10. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
