We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the International Trade and Development industry. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize and enhance your accounting skills in a challenging, fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking and recording purchase orders, and processing payments.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Manage full cycle accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
Prepare and maintain all project-related billings, from project inception through final close-out.
Review and process project expenses ensuring adherence to company policies and project budget.
Utilize Concur and Deltek CostPoint for tracking and managing project expenses and account payables.
Prepare project accounts payable expense vouchers and ensure timely and accurate payments.
Perform account reconciliations regularly, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and account standings.
Assist in month-end closing procedures and generate financial reports as required.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
Adhere to all internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure company assets are protected.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Proficient in using accounting software, preferably Deltek CostPoint and Concur.
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
