Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Manage the cost accounting function, including labor and overhead cost distribution, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
- Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand and manage product costing, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on costs associated with manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and laws.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls evaluations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in managing labor costs, manufacturing costs, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage a team.
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with accounting software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
