We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HYBRID Accountant to join our leading entertainment organization. This role will involve both traditional accounting responsibilities and the application of such principles in the industry. As a HYBRID Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and contributing to high-level financial decisions. You will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned accountant with a passion for the engineering industry, looking to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and managing the general ledger.
2. Recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with a high level of accuracy.
3. Performing regular financial analysis, identifying trends, and advising on forecasts.
4. Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
6. Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
7. Using accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
8. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
9. Developing and implementing accounting policies, coordinating systems and procedures, and preparing operating data and special reports as required.
10. Analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and industry benchmarks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting REQUIRED
2. 2+ years of experience in a similar role
3. Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system like JD Edwards, Oracle.
4. Advanced knowledge of Excel.
5. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP).
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
