About the Job
Preventative/predictive/corrective maintenance and repair of EVMS building HVAC systems and other facility type maintenance and repairs. Major areas of concentration include HVAC, mechanical, electronic and computer controls, plumbing, and other environmental systems.
Responsibilities:- Primary responsibility will be to perform preventive/predictive maintenance and repairs on HVAC and other mechanical systems throughout EVMS buildings and student housing apartments during the evening shift.
- Interface, coordinate and work/alongside EVMS HVAC service contract provider.
- Develop and maintain schedule log for required preventive/predicative maintenance. Share and coordinate schedules with other EVMS maintenance staff and HVAC service provider.
- Coordinate and work alongside HVAC service provider for operations, maintenance, and adjustments/tuning of HVAC controls.
- Perform maintenance and repair to other EVMS building systems.
- Perform work requests dispatched via automatic maintenance ticketing system and provide interim and final follow ups to clients.
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails from EVMS staff, employees, vendors, and outside contractors relating to work-orders.
- Assist in the coordination of all heating and cooling operations.
- Perform regular preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment and campus facilities as directed by Supervisor/Manager and provide documentation of completed work.
- Perform buildings and grounds maintenance/up-keep as needed; e.g., changing light bulbs, changing filters, cleaning maintenance equipment closets, etc.
- Identify parts to be repaired, inventories critical spare parts, and recommend ordering of non-stock items.
- Participate with demolition, repair, and renovations of offices and other areas.
- Install cabinets, shelves, pictures, and patient care equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
HVAC Journeyman or Master Level License plus five (5) years of experience, or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year of employment. Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS). Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. Must have a valid Virginia Driver's License. Must be insurable through EVMS insurance carrier.
