Position Description:As a HVAC Technician II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
Within your first 30 days:
- Train with Team Leader and other team members.
- Complete all assigned training.
- Understand and follow Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS) per training.
- Understand and comply with safety rules and Company policies.
- Follow all MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines & maintenance tasks to the specific requirements.
Within 60 days to one year:
- Perform daily monitoring, scheduled maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled repairs of HVAC equipment, including but not limited to split systems, package units, process chillers, air handlers, and refrigerators serving in a multi-building production environment.
- Troubleshoot and identify issues during scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
- Travel from site to site within the Applied Campus (Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest, and Irvine.
- Assist other team members with repairs and part ordering.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals.
Position Requirements:
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for a large multi-site commercial production facility.
- HVAC 608 EPA universal license.
- Experience with DDC control systems including but not limited to Automated Logic, Carrier, and Siemens.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Comfortable working with electrical voltage up to (480 volts).
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
- General building maintenance skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb ladders.
- A valid CA driver’s license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle
- Works well with other team members.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team player who is flexible, dependable, and punctual
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Experience with control systems, including Carrier and Automated Logic.
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
