Position Description
As a Technician II, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
Within your first 30 days:
- Train with Team Leader, during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday.
- Understand and follow Applied Medical's Quality Systems (QS) per training.
- Understand and comply with safety rules and Company policies.
- Follow all MI's, QSR, ISO, SOP's work rules and safety guidelines & maintenance tasks to the specific requirements.
- Perform daily monitoring, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs of central plant equipment serving in a production environment.
- Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals.
Within 60 days:
- Travel from site to site within the Applied Campus (Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest and Irvine)
- Perform daily monitoring, scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repairs of central plant equipment serving in a production environment
- Embrace a teamwork philosophy in order to influence the team to meet or exceed production and quality goals
- Maintain and record daily, weekly, monthly, etc…log sheets and required paperwork to keep a production facility in compliance with FDA regulations
- Communicate effectively with production team members, supervisors, engineers and inspectors to ensure quality inspection and maintenance of production equipment
Within 90 days to one year:
- Operate, maintain, service, and repair all HVAC equipment. Including but not limited to package heat pumps, split systems, process chillers, exhaust fans, air handlers, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
- Assist with repairs, parts orders and communicating with leads and team leaders on any concerns
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum of two years of experience in HVAC for a large commercial production facility.
- HVAC 608 Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) universal license.
- Proficient in reading electrical schematics.
- Comfortable working with electrical voltage up to 480 volts.
- Basic knowledge of handle tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- Possess a valid California Driver License with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle.
- Team player who is flexible, dependable, and punctual.
- General building maintenance skills.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Experience with control systems, including Carrier and Automated Logic.
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
