Specific Qualifications:Responsibilities:
- Performing Service Calls:
- Respond promptly to service requests from residential customers.
- Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Routine Maintenance:
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Clean and replace filters, inspect coils, lubricate fans and motors, and check refrigerant levels.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.
- Test system components to ensure proper functioning.
- Repair and Replacement:
- Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and valves.
- Perform system upgrades and installations as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Complete service reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Customer Communications:
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their HVAC systems.
- Explain repair recommendations and provide options for maintenance plans.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures, including handling of refrigerants and following local codes and regulations.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and manufacturer specifications through training and professional development opportunities.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize scheduling and service delivery.
- Provide support and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy
- HVAC Tools required (Torches, Manifold Gauges, Multi-Meter, Hand Tools)
- EPA certification
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
