HVAC Technician

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. This role requires technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance:
  • Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and system inspections.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems.
  • Test and adjust system controls to ensure optimal performance.
• System Upgrades:
  • Recommend system upgrades and energy-efficient solutions to clients.
  • Install and configure smart thermostats and other modern HVAC technologies.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during installations and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Customer Interaction:
  • Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, solutions, and maintenance tips.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and submit service reports and invoices as required.

Qualifications:

• Education and Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in HVAC technology or equivalent training.
  • EPA Section 608 certification is mandatory.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Experience with residential and commercial systems preferred.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Attributes:
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
