As a Residential HVAC Technician, you will bring your expertise in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair to ensure that our customers' HVAC systems are operating at peak efficiency. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, perform regular maintenance, and deliver excellent customer service in every interaction. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and inefficiencies, providing quick and effective solutions.
- Ensure high-quality customer service with clear communication, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Follow all safety procedures, company protocols, processes, and procedures diligently.
- Maintain and operate hand and power tools for HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and related equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of single-stage, two-stage, and variable-speed/inverter HVAC technology.
- Apply expertise in refrigeration and electrical theory for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Utilize proper techniques for recovery, evacuation, brazing, bending, and purging.
- Perform sheet metal installation and modification as needed.
- Complete service documentation, reports, logs, and records accurately and on time.
- Stay updated on HVAC industry best practices through training and continued education.
- Adapt to varying work environments, manage multiple priorities, and handle unexpected challenges effectively.
Qualifications
- EPA certification is required or must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Completion of an HVAC training program or equivalent field experience.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
