Position Summary: As an HVAC Service/Installer Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily service operations, providing mentorship to technicians, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HVAC solutions to our clients. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills to uphold and enhance our reputation as an industry leader. Your duties will include supervising the installation, troubleshooting, and servicing of gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, ductless heat pumps, water heaters, mechanical ventilation systems, and seismic shutoff valves for both existing and new clients. You will also be responsible for safeguarding clients' property and ensuring that your team adheres to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Additionally, you will oversee the training and supervision of apprentices and helpers, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance in a respectful and responsible manner.
Reports to: HVAAC Department Lead
Supervises: HVAC Apprentices
Work Hours: 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Pay Scale: $35 - $47 per hour based on experience

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Lead Installer and/or Service Technician, with a preference for experience in both roles.
- Advanced knowledge of the layout, design, and installation of residential HVAC systems.
- Proficient in flaring, brazing, and working with copper lines.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot various systems and handle challenging installations.
- In-depth understanding of inverter mini-split and ducted systems.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a passion for training and mentoring others.
- Strong time management and delegation skills, ensuring efficient utilization of team members based on their skills and abilities.
- Clean safety record and familiarity with best practices for workplace safety.
- Proficient in HVAC low-voltage systems.
- Capable of testing and balancing residential HVAC systems.
- Knowledgeable of applicable building codes in the Portland Metro area.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current valid EPA refrigerant license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Residential Water Heater Installer License.
- Spanish fluency is a significant asset.
- Prior experience with and knowledge of Mitsubishi, Panasonic, and Rheem HVAC systems is highly advantageous.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise HVAC service technicians and installers, ensuring optimal performance and strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients.
- Coordinate and schedule service calls to align with customer requirements and timelines.
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering skill development and professional growth.
- Communicate effectively with clients, offering clear explanations and tailored solutions to meet their HVAC needs.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements aimed at achieving service objectives and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Leverage your in-depth HVAC expertise to support installations and contribute to the overall growth of the department.
- Assume responsibility for the health and safety of your team, ensuring compliance with protective equipment usage and company safety policies.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and respect when interacting with both clients and colleagues.
- Represent the GreenSavers brand with integrity, demonstrating professionalism in the field and office while leading yourself, team members, and projects from start to finish.
- Deliver high-quality work with a commitment to respecting clients' properties.
- Collaborate with fellow installers, the production team, and sales staff to complete residential installations efficiently, adhering to budgeted hours.
