Position Overview
The HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems across all club facilities. This role ensures that equipment operates efficiently and safely to meet the needs of our members, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units, chillers, ice machines, and ventilation systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems.
- Install and replace HVAC and refrigeration equipment and components as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of parts and supplies.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to plan and prioritize tasks.
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration system maintenance and repair.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, controls, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
