Job Details
We are seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician to serve our valued customers in New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems, possess necessary certifications, and demonstrate expertise in servicing large HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and chillers. If you are a problem solver with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency service on commercial/industrial heating and air conditioning equipment, as well as commercial and process refrigeration systems, including rack refrigeration.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure optimal system performance and prevent future issues.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues in HVAC and refrigeration systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
- Communicate regularly with dispatchers and interact professionally with customers to address their questions and concerns.
- Understand and apply local and federal codes (including NFPA 54, NFPA 31, EPA, and CSD1) and ensure compliance during all service activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of service activities, including maintenance schedules, equipment specifications, and client communications. Accurately complete start-up reports and EPA forms.
- Technical Expertise: Review engineering drawings, check the integrity of all components and their installation, and understand the operation of stand-alone controls.
- Provide on-the-job training to service apprentices as needed.
- Complete timecards, work orders, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in HVAC/R, with a focus on large HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and chillers.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Universal EPA certification
- Vermont Type S electrical license
- VT and/or NH Natural gas certification
- VT and/or NH LP gas certification
- NH and/or VT NORA Silver oil certification
- Competency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems. Knowledge of brazing techniques and proper refrigeration practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle emergency service calls effectively.
