We are seeking an experienced and dynamic MEP Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects from inception to completion. This is a permanent position where you will work closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As an MEP Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in our company's success, making this an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of all MEP projects.
2. Coordinate and manage project teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals.
3. Develop and manage budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within cost parameters.
4. Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, budget updates, and risk assessments.
5. Negotiate contracts and manage agreements with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
6. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
7. Identify and manage potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
8. Foster relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
10. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes for future projects.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management- Commercial HVAC, MEP, or Mechanical experience with focus on Schools, Hospitality, LAUSD, or LACCD experience preferred.
3. Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and guidelines.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards project goals.
6. Union experience a huge plus!
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
9. Proficient in project management software and tools.
10. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
