Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.
Position Summary:
Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Engineering Supervisor or designee and according to established procedures, performs various duties to plan, construct, install, repair and service tasks on hospital buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Engineering Department
- Assists in maintaining HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
- Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of minor problems with the electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required. Notifies lead engineer if major repairs are required.
- Performs maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
- Performs maintenance duties to all physical structures of facility and complies with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
- Assists in replacing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.
- Maintains routine records of all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
- Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.

- Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certification/ Licensure: n/a
- Experience: Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
