Job Overview: The Maintenance Technician provides maintenance on newer residential heating and air conditioning systems. They are also responsible for performing basic level repairs and diagnostics. These services will be performed according to company standards while providing the customer with a high-quality experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Total Care Club and revenue maintenance calls and parts/component replacement calls.
- Accurately document the services completed, invoices and costs of services, including the age and type of each system component on invoices.
- Debrief service call with dispatch after each service call.
- Inspect area for cleanliness after job completion.
- Always maintain a professional image by wearing only company approved apparel and maintaining company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness.
- Adheres to and follows all safety policies, procedures and standards of performance and code of ethics.
- Completes required training per company policy to develop technical acumen.
- Assist in mentoring and training maintenance technicians.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of two to three years of verifiable HVAC maintenance experience in a residential service.
- Must hold Universal EPA certification, preferred NATE or equivalent HVAC certification.
- High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree preferred but not required.
- Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours and strong client service skills
- Present and communicate professionally (written and verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a professional and technical level
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Technical aptitude
- Bilingual a plus, not required
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and successfully pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions, at times, working in frigid temperatures.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, including settings such as ladders, stairs, and crawlspaces.
- Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
- Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer.
- Daily travel throughout the Northern Colorado region.
- Minimal office environment exposure (i.e. training, organizational meetings, etc.)
