Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The technician will work on various equipment types, including air conditioning units and ammonia refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems, including compressors, fans, and electrical controls.
• Install new HVAC equipment according to design specifications and local codes.
• Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance in components.
• Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address any related mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC system repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
• Familiarity with appliance repair techniques is a plus.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to design and plumb new installations effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
