Hunton Trane, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX (www.huntongroup.com), is seeking to hire an Industrial Mechanical Engineer. This role would be responsible for engineering the process heating, cooling, & utility systems within a prospective project. The Industrial Mechanical Engineer provides ongoing technical consultation to facilitate the sales/business development processes and working with the project management team to execute projects for the customer. This individual would also have the responsibility of developing comprehensive, value-driven mechanical processes and HVAC system solutions at industrial facilities. Ideal candidate should have a strong process or HVAC background with an emphasis on hydronic and refrigeration processes.

Responsibilities:
- Experience with chilled water plant design consisting of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, valving, expansion and buffer tanks, and all associated piping instrumentation.
- Oversee the design and development of comprehensive engineering documentation for EPC and industrial projects. This role involves a combination of hands-on engineering and managing third-party engineering services to deliver a complete engineering package, including but is not limited to:
- General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- P&ID drawings
- Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) calculations
- Nozzle load analysis (forces and moments)
- Anchorage details
- FAT procedures
- Act as main point for technical questions for vendors, project management, and field personnel.
- Support project managers and field teams with technical expertise.
- Develop innovative solutions that bring additional value to the customer.
- Stay abreast of current technologies and industry trends.
- Identify and utilize software modeling tools.
- Utilize cloud tools such as Microsoft Teams & SharePoint for collaboration.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of related engineering work experience.
- PE license is not a requirement for this position.
- Mastery of refrigeration fundamentals, specifically in hydronics, but also including psychometrics, and system design.
- Mastery of Revit or AutoCAD 2018 or higher
- Experience with ASME & API standards preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, work well with others, and have a positive attitude.
