About the Job
SAVA is currently looking for a dedicated HVAC/Critical Facility Technician to join our elite team at the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center in Vienna, VA. This will primarily be an HVAC position, but you will be required to respond to other outages outside of the HVAC trade. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
The shift for this position is 6pm - 6am: Wednesday through Saturday with every other Wednesday off.
Responsibilities
+ Performs daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs of the facilities in support of data center and office operations. Walk-throughs (rounds) are completed every 4 hours through the entire facility.
+ Possesses a high level of technical knowledge & experience in performing maintenance, repairs and emergency service in Class A building and mission critical data center on state-of-the-art mission critical support systems.
+ Duties include:
+ Performs daily inspections, preparing logs, supervising vendor/contractor activities and assisting in performing technical training for the operations team.
+ Operates & maintains equipment (electrical switchgear, diesel generators, HVAC/CRAC systems, UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, and fire detection and suppression systems).
+ Audits maintenance records to schedule and dispatch service operations staff and subcontractors.
+ Provides technical support to customers with system emergencies.
+ Interfaces with Facility Management to ensure services are performed to satisfaction.
+ Updates service tickets and other maintenance related documents.
+ Assists with scheduling and managing vendors and subcontractors.
+ Assists in making preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
Qualifications
+ Must have a Top Secret Security clearance.
+ Advanced level of understanding and operational competency for mission critical systems.
+ Current/valid state issued Journeyman HVAC or electrician license.
+ Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory and solid-state electronics.
+ Understanding of HVAC BMS, Chiller controls and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
+ Extensive hands-on experience in repair of MCC, Switchgear, ATS, Static Switches HVAC Controls, Mechanical systems and VFDs.
+ A high level of understanding and experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical switchgear, diesel generators, Simplex fire detection and suppression systems.
+ Ability to perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art mission critical systems to include electrical switchgear, diesel generators, HVAC systems, and fire detection and suppression system.
+ Experience with basic level operation, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
+ Strong professional and technical writing skills.
+ Good computer skills to include intermediate proficiency with MS Office.
+ Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
+ Ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate various mechanical & electrical systems.
+ Ability to prepare MOPs and adhere to the strict guidelines of approved MOPs for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
+ Availability to work emergency service and shift work.
