Last working day of each month.
FTE
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 12 months
Hours
During the school year, hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a 1-hour unpaid break.
During the summer, hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid break.
Schedule flexibility is allowed for summer hours.

Job Duties & Qualifications
EDUCATION LEVEL: | Two years of post-secondary education. District may consider related experience in lieu of education. |
EXPERIENCE DESIRED: | One to three years of Human Resources experience in areas that include employee onboarding, staffing, effective communication, data tracking, and information systems. |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: | Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, speaking, hearing, use of wrists, hands, and fingers. Constant sitting, standing, or walking. Frequent keyboarding, typing, writing, and filing. |
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: | Demonstrated ability to work with people in positive manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with confidential information. Strong critical thinking skills. Excellent organizational skills. Must be technologically advanced in human resources management systems, word processing, and spreadsheets. Evening or weekend work occasionally. |
Essential Functions & Duties
Employee Onboarding & Transfer Support
- Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientations and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
- Process badge photos and assist with fingerprinting for background checks.
- Develop and maintain accurate employee files and records.
- Track and monitor the completion of required documents for new employees, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Input employee information into HR databases and systems, ensuring data accuracy.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees, providing assistance and answering questions throughout the onboarding process.
- Forward new employee information to the HR/Payroll Liaison for payroll processing.
E-Verification & Background Checks
- Manage the e-verification process for all new hires and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate criminal background checks for employees, volunteers, and contracted service providers, including fingerprinting and maintaining records.
- Provide assistance with employee testing functions as required.
Clerical & Administrative Support
- Serve as clerical support to the Human Resources Department by performing general office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and managing departmental communication.
- Draft and process written communication, including confidential memos, correspondence, and meeting agendas for HR-related activities.
- Assist with the maintenance of HR systems, including updating and managing job descriptions on various platforms.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Human Resources as needed.
- Process and distribute HR-related mail and documentation.
Employee Programs & Assistance
- Manage the tuition assistance program for district staff, including processing applications and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with the coordination and monitoring of the Teacher Plan of Intent process and other District accreditation processes, providing updates to teachers and administrators, as requested.
- Support the District's volunteer program, including conducting training for clerical staff and ensuring compliance with volunteer requirements.
- Assist with new employee physical scheduling and coordinate related logistics.
Human Resources Projects & Support
- Assist with the completion of HR-related projects and events, providing support as needed.
- Serve as a back-up to the HR Receptionist and IPC Receptionist, offering support at the front desk when required.
- Assist with the coordination of recognition events, such as the annual Recognition Banquet.
- Provides support to other Human Resources staff by completing tasks as requested. Participates in cross-training for other Human Resources roles.
General HR Support & Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by acting as a point of contact for employees and visitors to the Human Resources Department, answering questions, directing inquiries, and managing email and phone communications.
- Assist with the job posting process and employment verifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR department leadership.
