About the Job
The Sr. Human Resource Manager will lead an emerging competency center for the HR functions. This will encompass research and development of best practices and policies for HRIS, payroll, recruitment, new hire orientation, onboarding program, performance management and compensation, change management, and continuous learning opportunities.
The Sr. HR Manager will oversee an HR team and provide direction and support to ensure the team is aligned with and meeting the HR goals and business objectives. This role will be involved in the hiring process for critical mission positions, partnering with leadership to ensure the performance management, succession planning, and career development process. Will ensure leaders are accountable for development and retention of staff and building a pipeline of talent for future growth
Essential Duties:
- Oversees all HR activities and functions and implements standard operating procedures, HR policies, and procedures. Establishes a Center of Knowledge department/one-stop shop for employees to inquire and receive quick responses to HR questions. Ensures staff members are trained and equipped with the knowledge and resources when responding to employee inquiries.
- Manages the processes for each HR discipline (Talent Acquisition, Career and Development, Comp. & Rewards/Recognition, Benefits, Payroll, HRIS, Performance Management, etc.., and collaborates with direct reports to ensure compliance across all states.
- Evaluate the current state of HR practices; provide recommendations and solutions for a more efficient system and process. Review and present solutions to HR Director, HR managers, and business leaders. Apply change management techniques to gain buy-in and affirmation. Implement transformation and provide training to HR staff for consistency and sustainability.
- Assists with recruiting efforts, participates in the selection process for critical roles, when needed, and provides feedback to ensure new hires fit into the company culture
- Develop Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) goals and metrics. Establish and implement a plan that includes leadership training, execute s successful program, and create a culture of inclusion

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Management, Psychology, or related discipline. MBA or Master's degree in HR, Org. Development, Management or related disciplines and SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of Human Resources, ideally in the service or manufacturing industry preferred
- HRBP experience and presence with Sr. leadership with the ability to present and share insights and data in a compelling way to influence decision-making
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, fostering teamwork, and building trusting relationships. Proven experience in leading teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in change management techniques with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough and effective investigations to successfully resolve matters
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of HRIS system (ADP Lyric)
