SUMMARY
Provide Human Resources support to business unit or corporate functional area which may include recruiting, selection, and staffing, employment, and personnel documentation. Act as a liaison between department/divisions, all levels of line and staff management, and benefits departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
+ Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
+ Responsible for information gathering and ongoing compliance of Affirmative Action Plans.
+ Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
+ Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.
+ Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
+ Act as liaison for divisional location for coordination of policies, projects, etc.
+ Administer and track AAR Educational Assistance Program.
+ Prepare Family Medical Leave Act notices and track length of leave.
+ Prepare and Update Job Descriptions for all positions on an on going basis.
+ Assist in coordination of annual merit increases and performance reviews
+ Assist in preparation of government and management reports, such as,EEO, turnover, etc.
+ Interpret and explain human resources policies, administer salary advances, tuition reimbursement
+ Maintenance of personnel files
+ Conduct new hire orientation
+ Set up files on all new personnel in the HRizon system. Record changes on all employee status as necessary such as change of address, departmental transfers, rate increases, terminations, etc. and forwards to payroll.
+ Run appropriate reports using ReportSmith software SysAdm for HRizon Develop, update and modify codes, tables, reports and other system applications. Train field representatives on system access and utilization. Develop and maintain security system for HRIS access.

Qualifications:

+ Principles and practices of personnel administration and human resource management.
+ Principles, methods, and procedures utilized in recruitment, selection, examining, test development, validation, affirmative action training, classification, labor relations and salary administration.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor of Arts degree or Bachelor of Science degree from four-year college or university or eight years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
