We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This role will focus on fostering a positive work environment through effective employee relations and supporting our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
* Assist in developing and implementing employee relations strategies to promote a positive workplace culture.
* Serve as a support point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
* Support thorough investigations into employee complaints and recommend appropriate actions.
* Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Monitor and analyze employee engagement and satisfaction metrics, and assist in developing action plans to address areas of improvement.
* Interpret departmental/Agency policy to managers and staff; provide guidance for corrective action processes.
* Review employee appeals through formal complaint procedures; provide recommendations regarding employee discipline actions, grievances, and terminations.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I):
* Support the development and execution of DE&I strategies and programs.
* Collaborate with leadership to integrate DE&I principles into all aspects of the organization.
* Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops to educate employees on DE&I topics.
* Analyze workforce data to identify trends and areas for improvement in diversity and inclusion.
* Partner with external organizations and networks to promote diversity recruitment and community engagement.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
* Assist in overseeing the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
* Ensure a diverse and inclusive candidate pool for all positions.
* Support the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
* Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
* Participate in the development of recruiting and placement practices and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Performance Management:
* Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
* Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.
* Assist in developing and implementing employee development programs to enhance skills and career growth.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
* Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation packages.
* Support employee benefits enrollment and address any related inquiries.
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation and benefits regulations.
