Position Overview: We are seeking an HR Generalist with at least 4 years of experience and HR management expertise. The preferred candidate will have a professional demeanor, maintain effective working relationships with both local and international colleagues and managers, and possess multi-state compliance experience. SHRM/PHR certification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, ensuring fair and consistent administration of HR policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement personnel policies for continuous improvement; prepare and maintain the employee handbook.
- Partner and assist in recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, and job offers.
- Plan, update, and conduct new employee orientation consistent with company core values.
- Develop and implement strategies and action plans for LLYC's inclusion and diversity programs, always in accordance with local, state and/or federal regulations.
- Manage employee personnel files and coordinate Internship Programs.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions during the due diligence phase and provide additional support as needed.
- Oversee offboarding procedures, including exit interviews and employee separation notices; analyze exit survey data and provide recommendations.
- Support the company’s total rewards strategy.
- Design, innovate, and oversee employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys.
- Support learning and development initiatives.
- Manage and administer policies, communications, space management, new hire setup, and administrative tasks.
- Serve as backup for payroll processing.
- Support and update monthly reports requested by the finance area or by the local, regional or global management team.
- Provide immigration support for visas and assist with mobility and relocation processes to the USA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Broad knowledge of HR practices and procedures.
- Self-starter with the initiative to independently identify needs and recommend best-practice solutions.
- Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Professional and personable demeanor with the ability to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Experience:
- 4 years of generalist experience in Human Resources with HR management/lead experience.
- Proven experience in organizing and directing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the communication or advertising industry and agency work environments is a plus.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- SHRM or HRCI certifications preferred.
- Ability to hear, understand, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and check documents for accuracy.
- Proficiency in using a keyboard and computer monitor.
- Adherence to strict deadlines.
- Ability to walk, sit, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds.
