POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources International Program Manager will oversee and manage the H2B, J1 visa and PERM Cert programs at Hunters Run Country Club, ensuring the successful recruitment, integration, and compliance of international staff. This role is critical in maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality for which the club is known, by effectively managing international employee programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Management:
- Act as an ambassador of the club and promote the brand to potential international candidates.
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting, hiring, and managing H2B employees and J1 visa trainees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international staff, sponsors, partners and attorneys.
- Ensure all international staff are compliant with visa regulations and club policies.
- Manage and oversee all program requirements for housing and transportation.
- Make proposals on H2B, J1 and PERM Cert services; help negotiate contracts for program.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Collaborate with recruitment agencies and international partners to attract qualified candidates.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including drug screening, social security compliance, orientation, training, and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews (Skype and in person), and selection.
- Develop and maintain a robust onboarding program to ensure smooth integration into the country club’s culture and operations.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Partner with the recruitment agency to collect, manage and track all visa-related documentation, including applications, extensions, and renewals being mindful of all deadlines.
- Prepare all labor reports, post all required documentation and respond to any Department of Labor or Department of State requests for information.
- Ensure adherence to all federal and state regulations related to H2B, J1 visa and PERM Cert programs.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with visa requirements and club policies.
Employee Support and Development:
- Provide ongoing support to international employees, addressing any issues or concerns they may have.
- Organize cultural trips and professional development programs to enhance staff performance and satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between international employees and management, facilitating communication and resolving conflicts.
- Conduct contract and/or season end one on ones to ensure satisfaction and gain feedback to improve our programs.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on the status of international programs, including recruitment metrics, compliance status, and staff performance.
- Analyze program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.
Coordination with Other Departments:
- Work closely with departments to ensure cohesive management of international staffing needs.
- Collaborate with the responsible departments to ensure that international staff are fully integrated and aligned with service standards.
- Ensure that all J1 training plans are being followed, evaluations are being completed and proper documentation is in order.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large H2B and J1 visa programs, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented environment.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. visa regulations, compliance requirements, and immigration processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years working in a country club or similar luxury service environment.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
