A well-established personal injury law firm is seeking an Human Resources Manager to join their team! The HR Manager will lead all HR functions, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance.
Location: Houston, TX Central - ONSITE
Pay:$85,000 - $90,000

Responsibilities:
- Manage the full recruitment process and onboarding program to ensure a smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
- Work closely with hiring manager to identify needs, create job descriptions, and throughout the hiring process.
- Process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity for salaried and hourly employees.
- Process monthly bonus disbursements.
- Manage the full benefits process to include enrollments, terminations, and changes for Medical, Dental, Vision and ancillary plans.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Point of contact for all compensation, benefits, and leave situations.
- Handle disciplinary matters, disputes, performance and investigations
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Work with government agencies in the event of any announced/unannounced inspections or audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- SHRM certification a plus
- 3+ years of full cycle HR, benefits administration, and payroll processing experience required.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, ADA, FMLA, TWC processes and the ability to handle issues independently.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and Paylocity (or similar) software
