About the Job
We are currently looking to hire a Human Resources Manager for our office Monday - Friday, during business hours onsite! In this position, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day HR support to internal customers within the organization focusing on employee relations, investigations, training, and coaching/counseling. This role will also support recruiting, engagement, HR projects and retention efforts, assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and ensure procedures align with company goals and objectives.
To be successful, this position requires a well-rounded hands-on HR experienced Generalist who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The Corporate Human Resources Manager must be sensitive to both corporate & field needs, employee goodwill, and the overall business needs.
Day in the life of a Human Resources Manager:
- Acts as an HR business partner to leaders throughout company
- Lead, direct and develop the local core HR team
- Coach, counsel and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
- Provide visible HR presence where our employees work to enable real time engagement and solutions with travel to sites as needed (up to 25%)
- Contribute to the development of a culture of equity, diversity & inclusion
- Aid in creating & supporting the delivery of key HR processes (e.g., performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.)
- Support the continuing transformation of HR via HR process development & implementation, continuous best practice & automation improvements
- Serve as subject matter expert on majority of HR products and services
- Acts as the employee relations lead
- Assists with Merger and Acquisition process for employee integration
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws, and regulations including annual poster requirements
- Help administer the performance management and disciplinary action process
- Provides data for internal audits, legal matters, and various payroll, benefits or other HR programs
- Assist the HR Management team with various research projects and/or special projects
- Assist with or prepare HR related correspondence
- Other duties as assigned by management
The best qualified candidates will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
- 7 years HR experience minimum
- Prior People Management experience (direct reports)
- Previous HR experience working employment law
- Working knowledge as a true HR Generalist
- Project Management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous HRIS experience, specifically with reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
It's a plus if:
- You have 5 years of HR generalist experience
- You have an HR Related Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
