Key Responsibilities

Payroll and PTO Processing

Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, development, and termination processes.

Benefits Administration: including new hire and open enrollment; and invoice reconciliation.

Training & Development: Coordinate employee training for compliance, onboarding, and development.

Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain employee records, ensure compliance with laws, and update policies.

Engagement & Culture: Organize engagement events and acknowledge milestones.

Salary administration: Periodic review and analysis of salaries and benefits.

Qualifications:

-  Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred. Years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

-  Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.

-  Experience: 2+ years in HR, ideally in non-profits.

-  Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software; strong organization and communication skills.

 Working Conditions:

- On-site, animal-exposed office, occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), and travel for events.
