Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY (Full time, onsite)
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 DOE
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our diverse team in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This is a full-time, onsite position for a seasoned HR professional with over 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have exceptional emotional intelligence, patience, and understanding. They will play a key role in mediating between management and employees, ensuring a harmonious workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Management: Demonstrate a deep understanding of how HR practices contribute to business success. Design, develop, establish and maintain compliance and standards based on best HR practices, policies, processes, and operating procedures to align with company goals and objectives. Advocate for the value of employee and leadership training to support the company's strategic goals.
- Coaching and Development: Provide extensive coaching for both employees and leadership. Help employees understand their roles and responsibilities, and support leadership in enhancing their managerial skills.
- Mediation and Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral party to mediate conflicts between management and employees. Guide employees to understand and adhere to company policies and procedures without taking sides. Administer disciplinary actions consistently and fairly, ensuring all processes are well-documented and in line with company policies and legal standards.
- Compliance and Documentation: Assist with compliance issues, focusing on accurate documentation. Ensure the company meets all HR-related legal requirements and best practices. Handle onboarding, terminations, and unemployment claims efficiently, making sure they comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Training Programs: Develop and deliver training programs for employees and leadership. Communicate the benefits of these programs to leadership, highlighting how HR practices support and improve business operations.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of HR management experience, with a proven ability in conflict resolution and coaching.
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, documentation, and legal requirements.
- Experience with handling unemployment claims and disciplinary actions.
- Ability to explain how HR practices support and enhance business operations.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain neutral and objective in a diverse environment.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs for employees and leadership.
