Key responsibilities include handling open enrollment, reconciling insurance invoices, maintaining employee records, managing terminations, addressing concerns, and supervising HR staff. Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Direct Hire

$75,000-85,000

On-site in Big Lake or Elk River, Minnesota

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage employee benefits programs (health, dental, retirement) and lead the open enrollment process in collaboration with third-party administrators.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (ACA, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA) and handle accurate reconciliation of insurance vendor invoices.
• Manage employee records, including documentation for terminations, audits, and conduct exit interviews.
• Address employee concerns and manage unemployment claims and workers' compensation cases.
• Supervise the HR Generalist and assist with payroll audits, performance reviews, job postings, and day-to-day HR operations.
• Contribute to HR strategy, improving processes and systems to align with company goals and enhance departmental efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Proven experience in HR management or a similar role; prior experience in benefits administration and compliance is essential.
• Strong expertise in benefits administration and HR compliance (ACA, COBRA, OSHA, FMLA, etc.)
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Technical proficiency in HR tools and systems (prior experience with HR software is a plus).
