About the role:
As part of LS Power’s Human Resources team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the realm of HR to grow and develop your career by working on a variety of meaningful projects. You will be collaborating with a growing team of HR professionals in the fields of Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Operations.
In this role, you will be assisting as needed with day-to-day HR activities along with conducting in-depth analyses on various HR processes. Specific projects you will work on include assisting our Talent Acquisition Team and reviewing our (internal) employee-facing branding initiatives.
Responsibilities:
What you will do:
- Support scheduling for the HR Team (events, interviews, vendors, schools, organizations, etc.)
- Responsible for mail, FedExing, and distribution of mail to appropriate team members
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process
- Organization of the HR files, both hard copy and electronic
- Scan files/documents – etc. terminated employee folders, 401k documents, etc.
- Prepare and ship materials for HR events (employee appreciation, wellness events, recruitment, new hires, etc.)
- Research HR policies and procedures for best practices
- Maintain inventory of employer branding initiatives (ex: company swag, new hire welcome gifts)
- Scanning and electronic filing of HR and payroll documents, including general upkeep of physical filing systems
- Other duties as assigned

Ideally, you will have….
- Completed at least two or three years of full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in a Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
