Internship Assignment: Full-Time - Summer 2025
The intern will have responsibilities and experiences across several functions within the human resources department. These include, but are not limited to: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, development, and HR generalist support of the organization.
- Review and help update employee handbooks.
- Review policies, research to ensure compliance, and suggest updates.
- Work on project to transition job descriptions from a legacy system to a new system.
- Work on a project to move paper-based files to an online storage system.
- Participate in a process to submit and review survey data for salary planning and budgeting.
- Evaluate and market price jobs.
- Participate in the process of reviewing medical plan pricing.
- Work on a project to begin preparing for annual benefits open enrollment.
Internship Qualifications
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
- Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
- Preferred majors: Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
