Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Human Resources (HR) Project Office. The ideal candidate will focus on continuous improvement initiatives and oversee the efficient execution of HR-related projects. The Project Manager will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in HR, optimizing processes, driving efficiencies, and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals. Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Lead HR projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Develop project plans, establish timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as the HR SME, offering guidance to HR Project Office team members.
- Stay informed of HR industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates to maintain HR compliance.
Change Management:
- Lead change management efforts for HR process improvements, ensuring seamless implementation and user adoption.
- Develop and deliver training programs related to HR processes and project management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Establish strong relationships with HR team members, department heads, and external partners to ensure project success.
- Act as the main point of contact between HR and other departments, ensuring alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify project risks and issues, escalating them to senior leadership as necessary.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and provide regular updates on project status.
Budget Tracking:
- Assist in tracking project budgets and expenses, collaborating with the finance team for accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare financial reports on project expenditures as needed.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to project quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in quality reviews and audits to ensure project excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in human resources, business administration, operations management, project management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a project management role, preferably within HR.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, MS SharePoint, MS Teams) and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in change management and managing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PSM/CSM, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Management consulting experience.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work model with a mix of remote work and on-site presence in Tampa, FL or Lawrenceville, NJ.
- Standard office hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM 5 PM).
- Occasional travel for project meetings, training, or business needs.
Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 10 pounds).
- Frequent use of computer and office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person.
