Human Resources Generalist - Spherion

Spherion Staffing and Recruiting of Lake & Sumter county has a new direct hire opening for an HR Generalist.

We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our client's production facility in Umatilla, FL. This role is critical in managing HR functions and supporting the administrative operations of the plant team. Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

The schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with an hour lunch. The pay rate is $50,000 to $80,000 annually depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
Oversee daily HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Provide administrative support to the production and plant management teams.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Assist with timekeeping, and records management using SAP (preferred).
Promote a positive work culture and handle employee concerns effectively.
Assist with Safety meetings, investigations, and processing WC claims.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
Previous experience in an HR role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with SAP software (a plus).

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Previous experience or education in Human Resources.
Strong employee engagement abilities.
