Encore Village is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This full-time role will involve managing a wide range of HR functions, including corporate compliance, benefits administration, payroll processing, employee relations, and policy enforcement. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, experience with UKG payroll software, and a strong understanding of HR processes and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure adherence to corporate compliance standards, including managing FMLA, Worker's Compensation, and Leave of Absence (LOA) processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws to ensure all policies and procedures remain compliant.
- Administer updates to employee benefits (medical, dental, vision) to ensure accuracy and alignment with employee eligibility.
- Employee Benefits & Relations:
- Oversee employee benefits programs and collaborate with providers to ensure employees receive comprehensive benefits.
- Process and manage benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes, ensuring all data is accurately recorded.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and collaborate with management to address actionable items and improve employee satisfaction.
- Payroll & Compensation:
- Accurately process payroll using UKG software, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, providing excellent service and resolving issues promptly.
- Training & Development:
- Develop and conduct employee training sessions on various HR topics, including compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Create and maintain training materials to support ongoing learning and development initiatives for employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or similar role.
- Experience using UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar payroll software.
- Strong understanding of HR functions, including compliance, benefits administration, and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with HRIS systems.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant state and federal labor laws, including FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Experience:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Previous experience in employee training and development.
