About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HR Generalist to join their dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will be a key partner to employees and managers, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and screen qualified candidates across various channels.
- Conduct interviews and extend job offers.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and new hire paperwork.
- Process accurate and timely payroll using the Paychex system.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other plans.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and questions.
- Address employee concerns and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
- Manage employee leave requests, including FMLA, CFRA, and other applicable leaves.
- Conduct investigations and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
- Conduct safety training and investigations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, as needed.
- Provide general HR support to employees on a wide range of topics.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
- Experience with the Paychex payroll system is essential
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
