This HR Health & Safety Generalist will work within the scope of Health, Safety, and Workers Compensation.
The Health and Safety HR Generalist participates as an integral and cooperative team member in achieving department-related goals for the agency. We are seeking an individual who has/is:
- Working knowledge of workers compensation and OSHA requirements

- Highly organized, process oriented with extreme detail and always looking for efficient solutions.
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a minimum of Intermediate skill in Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Resourceful self-starter with strong problem solving skills who gets things done.

DUTIES:
- Manage Workers Compensation claims in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
- Manage all O.S.H.A. tracking and reporting requirements for the entire agency.
- Satisfy obligations to the workers compensation trust and its service team; audits, site-inspections, and safety meetings.
- Conduct debriefings and workplace investigations. Recommend preventive measures to program managers and ensure implementation.
- Responsible for creating and distributing reports and communications related to health and safety.
- Demonstrate a positive, helpful demeanor to staff, vendors, program managers, and administrative staff across the agency, which supports the agency's mission statement and values.
- Perform other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Senior Health & Safety HR Business Partner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in HR, Business, related degree, or equivalent education and/or experience required. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related degree preferred. Working knowledge of Workers Compensation and OSHA strongly preferred.
