Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join their client's team in California. This role involves coordinating HR functions and ensuring smooth operations within the organization. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in HR practices and have a proactive approach to managing various HR responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for all employees.
- Develop and conduct new hire orientation programs, including partnering with tech support to ensure equipment setup and login information is available on the first day of employment.
- Act as the HR point of contact for internal employees.
- Develop policies and documentation of HR procedures and reports as needed. Ensure policies are communicated to employees and that labor law posters are posted and current.
- Maintain the handbook to ensure it reflects current HR policies.
- Oversee, maintain, and coordinate employee files and HRIS functions, including training, coordination, and communication of changes and updates with payroll.
- Maintain the annual performance evaluation schedule.
- Process internal employment changes, such as status changes, rate changes, transfers, and promotions.
- Assist the accounting department with timesheet issues and data entry. Act as the primary point of contact for employee questions relating to payroll.
- Develop a Personal Time Off request and tracking process.
- Coordinate benefit enrollment activities, assist with yearly rollout of benefits open enrollment, process enrollment forms, and update HRIS as appropriate. Maintain the company health/benefit plans library and be the point of contact for employee benefits questions. Work with brokers/vendors as appropriate.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits to ensure the company remains compliant with federal and state regulations concerning employment, such as EEOC, FLSA, OSHA, HIPPA, required labor law postings, I-9, and ACA requirements.
- Familiarity with CA, Texas, and Colorado employee-related policies and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
* Associate or BS Degree in human resources or related field is required
* Minimum four years of experience of Human Resources experience in benefits, recruiting, and knowledge of the principals and practices of Human Resources management.
* Minimum two years of experience with benefits coordination and open enrollment activities, preferred.

Salary Range: $35 - $45 per hour
