POSITION SUMMARY:
This position’s primary responsibility will be to successfully manage relationships in a manufacturing setting with plant operations, business unit leaders and employees, helping to drive operational efficiency and compliance. This position may support multiple sites. Some travel may be required. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position will support the operations team in all areas of HR to include:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides strategic HR support to manufacturing managers and employees including implementation of programs, policies and processes.
- Support the HR involvement with all corporate employee programs such as employee appreciation, Great Place to Work and Cultural Transformation.
- Maintain HRIS data entry and integrity initiatives including training and regular audits.
- Participate in developing organizational guidelines, procedures and assist the organization with implementing these.
- Be able to understand current regulations and laws relevant to your work, how to apply them and how to mitigate risk.
- Lead salary interview and selection process for professional positions including partnering with functional leaders on sourcing and selection criteria and leading candidate selection discussions.
- Coordinates the employment of hourly employees to include the job posting process, interviewing and screening.
- Assist in workforce planning based on current and forecast models.
- Ability to analyze and provide suggestions on HR metrics and trends within the site to ensure goals are being met.
- Organize and aligns resources to achieve business objectives.
- Identifies performance management opportunities and provides a path for employee development.
- Lead detailed and thorough and documented employee investigations, including the appropriate range and scope of detail, with recommendations based on facts concluded in the investigation.
- Develops relationships with internal business supervisors to partner in decision-making and to resolve issues.
- Demonstrates strong leadership in employee relations. Works with managers and employees to develop skills as needed.
- Assist with the implementation and administration of HR programs and processes, including staffing, performance management, training and development, and employee relations.
- Facilitates employee orientation program.
- Administer the hourly employee performance management program which includes annual evaluation and disciplinary process.
- Maintain employee records and documentation to meet Vallourec Standard Operating Procedures, HR’s Standard Operating Procedures, Federal, State, and Local compliance requirements.
- Personable and professional in dealing with employees, corporate management and cross functional corporate departments.
- Supports other HR functions as needed.

- Strong relationship- building skills in connecting with candidates and internal business partners.
- Effective communication and consistent follow-up with employees.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), workers' compensation laws, insurance, and benefits laws, and other state or federal HR laws.
- A change agent who can implement new programs in a fast-paced growth environment.
- Capable of working with a high degree of autonomy.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
- 6+ years exempt level HR experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting
- PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP certification is preferred
- Oil & Gas experience preferred
- Multi-Site experience preferred
- Some travel may be required
