Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. In this role, The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources department, policy implementation, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing multiple aspects of HR to contribute to a positive workplace culture. You will also serve as a key resource for employees and managers, delivering essential HR services and fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- General HR Duties:
- Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, communicating HR policies, procedures, and legal standards.
- Assist the Director in Talent Acquisition
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and offer insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage leave programs, workers’ compensation, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyze HR metrics to drive decision-making, create solutions, and recommend policy improvements.
- Lead employee investigations and manage sensitive HR issues as they arise.
- Administer day-to-day benefits interactions and assist with annual renewals.
- Provide guidance to leadership and employees on performance management, corrective action, and internal investigations.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
- Track and manage license expirations for licensed staff and provide timely reminders.
- Oversee credentialing and re-credentialing processes for licensed staff in compliance with organization standards.
- Create and maintain employee files, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor compensation changes and assist in budgeting efforts.
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of direct HR experience
- Previous experience in healthcare HR is preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in line with company policies and legal standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle complex, multi-faceted tasks with a high degree of organization.
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
