Overview of the HR Generalist role:
- Recruitment and Candidate Screening
- Post job openings on appropriate platforms and manage job advertisements.
- Screen candidates and coordinate interview panels.
- Participate in interview panels and assist in developing competency-based questions.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to align candidate competencies with role requirements.
- Job Description and Compensation Studies
- Conduct compensation studies to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Refresh and update job descriptions for 15-20 positions, gathering feedback from relevant stakeholders.
- Personnel File Auditing
- Assist with the close-out of personnel file audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Employee Training and Development
- Create and maintain training checklists for onboarding and professional development programs.
- Leave Management Projects
- Support Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence (LOA) initiatives, including policy updates and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications for the HR Generalist role:
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, or related roles.
- Proven skills in problem-solving, documentation, research and resolution, and multi-tasking.
- Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while meeting deadlines.
- People-oriented and enjoys collaborating within a team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Achievement-oriented and motivated to take on challenges.
