About the Job
The Human Resource (HR) Generalist is responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource Department. The HR Generalist must have a strong understanding of various HR functions that includes but are not limited to employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, HR systems, and HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource
programs. - Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new
technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment laws. - Provides policy and procedural guidance to employees and management.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and
compliance requirements. - Responds to human resources-related inquiries.
- Supports a variety of activities in the employee life cycle, including, but not
limited to: onboarding, VOEs, corrective actions, and exit interviews. - Maintains the integrity of HR systems and troubleshoots when necessary.
- Maintains employee personnel records.
- Administers and provides guidance/education for benefits programs, including
health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. - Assists with audits and compliance reporting.
- Handles sensitive personnel matters with confidentiality and discretion.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years human resources experience
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems, ADP
- Familiarity with Maryland Unemployment and Labor Laws
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
- Knowledge and implementation of OSHA regulations and compliance
Preferred:
- Proficiency with Google Suites
- Prior healthcare/clinical experience
- PHR or SPHR certification

Pay Range:USD $55,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 /Yr.
