About the Job
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in the effective functioning of our HR department and our day-to-day people related operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing various HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, performance management, compliance, and policy implementation. Additionally, partnering and supporting the rest of the HR team to support the everyday needs of employees. A requirement of this role is being a subject matter expert in talent acquisition and recruitment. This role will require a demonstration of great degree of empathy, while also having a strong understanding of both manufacturing floor dynamics and corporate HR practices. Being resolution and results-driven is a must plus being self-motivated and team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, from job postings and candidate sourcing to conducting interviews and facilitating onboarding for both manufacturing and corporate roles.
- Handle employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to resolve issues effectively and maintain a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and legal requirements. Ensure compliance with any local, state and federal laws and regulations, managing risk and updating HR records to ensure they are accurate.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities across different departments.
- Conduct performance management activities, including performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.
- Facilitate the payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Communication expertise in delivering company’s messages to employees.
- Demonstrate superb customer service to client groups.
- Collaborate effectively with other HR stakeholders.
- Communicate with Executive Director, HR to keep informed on trends risks, or more serious issues.
Experience
- Proven experience (5 years) in human resources roles, ideally within a manufacturing environment and corporate setting.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, regulations and compliance.
- Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, employee relation, training, and performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels. Proficiency in speaking Spanish is a highly preferred.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Possess analytical ability.
- Ability to write complex and confidential correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information to client groups and management.
- Able to solve problems quickly and resolve issues.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
