Summary: The Human Resources Director plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and compliance. Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Successful candidate will have strong, heave manufacturing background, experience managing a team and a proven track record of working with operations, distribution and staff in a 24/7 environment as well as supporting upper management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Foster a learning culture by promoting continuous learning and development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees to improve performance to achieve goals.
- Lead and develop HR staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement activities.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing employee concerns, disputes and grievances.
- Analyze HR metrics and reports to identify trends and make data driven decisions. Use insights to drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
- Collaborate with local leadership to provide guidance on HR-related matters and drive organizational success.
- Represent Georg Fischer in community and industry related organizations and events.
- Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Exceptional leadership skills and abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conculsions, or approaches to problems.
- Accountability for attaining legal advice and make recommendations for all employment related objectives.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR policies and procedures, as well as the ability to handle complex HR issues with discretion and professionalism.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Professional HR certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of HR Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
