Position Summary: In this role, you will serve as a key business partner to the leadership team, operational team, and the rest of Shared Services in incorporating human resources policies and strategy into current standard business practice. You will lead and create initiatives, systems, and best practices to aid in recruiting, developing, and training a diverse and high-performing workforce while building an organizational culture that supports growth and business efforts. In collaboration with other teams, you will support the development of plans for talent strategy, company-wide HR processes, performance management, and professional development. You will oversee the HR department's operations and management to ensure adherence to its policies and procedures.

What will you do?
Oversee daily operations of the human resources department.
Be a partner to the leadership team by understanding and helping to translate and execute the business’ human resource strategy particularly as it relates to current and future needs surrounding recruiting, retention, talent review, performance management, coworker development, and succession planning.
Partner with other directors to develop and implement policies and training and improve current HR processes.
Oversee, administer, and/or increase the efficiencies of human resources programs, including benefits, 401(k), compensation, disciplinary management, leave management, talent and performance management, morale and recognition programs, workplace health and safety, development, and training, etc.
Complete all compliance findings and support all audit processes within the prescribed deadlines.
Implement talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent, including partnering with local educational partners across the company’s footprint.
Stay updated on the best regulatory measures, practices, and new technologies in human resource management, employment law, and talent management, and apply this in-depth knowledge to communicate any suggested updates in policies, practices, and resources to the leadership team.
Collaborate with directors, location managers, and department managers to plan and deliver coworker training programs, give coworker feedback, ensure compliance with labor laws, and facilitate performance management.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and manage the HR budget.
Supervise HR staff and provide guidance and support as needed.
What do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
Five years of experience in Human Resources with working knowledge of federal and state employment law, benefits, compensation, and performance management. SHRM certification preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Working knowledge of EEOC, workers compensation, and unemployment regulations.
Able to analyze and problem-solve.
Open, responsive, and approachable demeanor.
Able to communicate appropriately with diverse staff, recognizing individuality, and generational and cultural differences.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; communicating effectively and with empathy and humility.
Superb attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively, and in stressful situations.
Accepts accountability and responds appropriately to the needs of others.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, i.e., spreadsheets, databases, presentations, computer systems, and electronic mail.
Multi-location experience and multi-state experience is a big plus.
Travel Expectations:
25%
Local travel between NEO stores as needed.
The flexibility to travel as needed or annually to our SE locations.
Working Conditions &/or Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
This position requires but is not limited to lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, listening, and speaking with internal and external clients.
50-75% travel by air and car weekly. Most travel will be within the region and drivable. Travel to corporate headquarters will require a minimum of quarterly air travel along with other air travel for training and growth opportunities.
