Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of human resources management
- Directs hospital recruitment and retention program to ensure availability of appropriate staffing resources
- Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations when setting and applying policies and procedures.
- Responsible for oversight of all HR office operations
- This is a working director role and can be heavily administrative
- Oversees activity pertaining to benefits, recruitment, retention, worker's compensation, staffing and wages, and employee relations. Hands on/collaborative role.
- Acts as a liaison between Corporate HR (at the home office in Birmingham) and hospital management
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 2+ years experience as an HR leader with direct reports (HR manager and above experience only).
o Needs overall HR experience and not just experience in one area of HR (e.g. only having Benefits, Talent Acquisition, or Employee Relations Manager)
- Stable work history (they will not consider anyone who moves companies every 1-2 years
- Bachelors degree or higher required
- Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, but may consider without healthcare experience
- Candidates with a mostly retail, food or hotel HR background will not be considered
