Position Overview:
The Human Resources Director is a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing and directing all HR functions within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies and programs that support the company's mission, goals, and objectives. The HR Director will partner closely with executive leadership to drive organizational strategy, lead a team of HR professionals, manage talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives and support organizational growth.
- Partner with executive leadership to anticipate future HR needs and drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate HR strategies with overall business goals.
- Talent Management:
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
- Implement and manage employee development programs, including training, career development, and succession planning.
- Drive performance management processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Performance Evaluations:
- Develop and implement effective performance evaluation systems and processes.
- Ensure regular and consistent performance reviews are conducted across the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues and development plans.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on complex HR issues.
- Develop and promote a positive organizational culture and work environment.
- Manage employee engagement initiatives and oversee conflict resolution.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the organization remains competitive.
- Oversee benefits administration and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor and manage risk related to employment practices and employee relations.
- Conduct investigations and handle disciplinary actions as necessary.
- HR Operations:
- Oversee HR operations including HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), payroll, and reporting.
- Manage HR budgets and resources effectively.
- Continuously improve HR processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with managerial experience.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, talent management, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits, and performance evaluations.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in HRIS and other relevant HR software.
- Bilingual in Japanese and English, preferred.
