Steele Brands is seeking a talented HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST to add to our team!
Steele Brands is seeking an HR Coordinator who is passionate about enhancing the employee experience and optimizing HR processes. This individual will have the opportunity to be deeply involved in all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, the HRIS system and various HR projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting activities (e.g., job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews)
- Coordinate new hire/onboarding documentation, including background checks, employee screens and I-9 compliance
- Support benefits enrollment for new hires and assist with the annual open enrollment process
- Monitor and manage the HR email inbox, researching inquiries, and providing accurate and timely follow-up in collaboration with HR team members
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with labor laws via audits, policy adherence, and maintain accurate HRIS data to comply with employment regulations
- Drive and support the implementation of HR programs and strategic initiatives
- Collaborate to create and provide templates and tools to increase efficiency
- Coordinates and maintains project documentation, including project plans and status reports
- Responsible for maintaining HR data integrity on a daily basis, generating reports, and offering general support to the HR team
- Complete internal audits and ensure accurate and complete employee data
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related area preferred
- At least 3 years of professional experience in Human Resources, with a focus on onboarding, compliance and HRIS data management
- The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail, a drive for results, and the ability to manage confidential information
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
